Signs of Progress

Well we have been living in our new townhouse for about 6 weeks now. There are very few boxes left to unpack, most things have been put away in their places. Most of my bruises and cuts from running into things have healed and the memory of the pain is fading. Because of my extra few days off from school lately I have been able to get myself more organized too! My room is mostly put together and I was available to help my mom get some of her things organized. I can no longer call the T.V. room/office the death trap as it is actually a relatively functioning T.V. room /office. Things are really starting to come together. The new laminate flooring is in and beautiful, the new leather furniture and coffee tables are also in place and look wonderful! It is nice to finally have a place that feels like home and have most of the "organizing" stuff done. Here are some pictures as proof of our progress!

A Few Days Off...

I get a few days off this week due to very cool scheduling of my home care rotation for school. So from Wednesday thru Friday for the next three weeks I have days off. Three whole days each week for 3 weeks to do whatever I want!! I was gonna take some extra shifts at work, finish getting organized in my bed room, and getting some much needed laundry done. So I was planning on taking full advantage of having these days off but when I got home from school on Tuesday with some strange stomach cramps and a major head ache I knew this plan was about to come to a screeching halt. I then spent Wednesday in bed, and today as well. I have not been able to keep solid food down today at all and had to call in sick for my extra shift a work! Why does this always happen to me!? As soon as I get some time off from work or school I manage to get sick! It's getting ridiculous! Well I have tomorrow off as well and I am hoping that I will be feeling well enough to get out of bed and do something before I have to work on Saturday. And then I fully intend to make full use of the next two weeks of freebie days off without getting sick!! Maybe I will even try to get ahead in my school work...hhhmmm...we'll see! :)

Back at Class

The infamous third year. It has begun. Weird...I have a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that I am half way done my nursing program. Bizarre! After only 3 weeks off for Christmas vacation I was not feeling terribly rested because of the amount of working and moving I did during the break, but it felt right just to be back in classes again. We just picked up where we left off and are back into the swing of things. It's so good to see all my friends again that I wasn't able to spend a lot of time with over the break because of all of our crazy schedules. It was also a great feeling today as my friend Darla and I walked through the campus bookstore in an attempt to gather supplies that were not there, and saw some brand new second years holding the Pathophysiology text book and Darla exclaimed..."Whoohooo...no more freakin patho! Hah, don't miss that text book!" What a fantastic feeling knowing that awful, awful, awful class is over for good and I NEVER EVER have to do it again! Yippee! Another benefit to this semester is that there is only one text book to buy! That is amazing! That will make my MasterCard very happy too, well as soon as my tuition is paid off! I love third year!!!
